Define roles in the organisation

Robin Data provides users with common roles, these can be imported into the account. In addition, other roles can be created. Example roles are department manager, data protection coordinator or authorised signatory.

Background

Internal organisational roles can be imported or created under the organisational data. In contrast to functional areas, roles do not refer to task areas that combine different roles in the organisation (e.g. accounting), but to individual cross-area roles (e.g. area manager). Robin Data provides users with common roles, these can be imported into the account. Additional roles can be created. Example roles are department manager, data protection coordinator or authorised signatory.  

Roles can be selected when users create people at locations in Robin Data ComplianceOS®. 

Import roles in the organisation

Roles in the organisation can be imported under the organisational data.

1. In the main menu click on Organisational data: A dropdown menu opens.
2. Move the mouse pointer over the menu item Organisation: Another dropdown menu opens.
   
3. In the second dropdown menu click on Role: A new window opens.
4. Click on the button +Role in the organisation: The slider opens via which roles in the organisation can be searched for in the database and imported.
   
5. Select the roles that you would like to import.
6. Click on the button Import.

Create roles

1. In the main menu click on Organisational data: A dropdown menu opens.
2. Move the mouse pointer over the menu item Organisation: Another dropdown menu opens.
3. In the second dropdown menu, click on Role: A new window opens.
4. Click on the button +Role in the organisation: The slider will open.
5. In the slider click on the button New: An empty input mask will open.
   
6. Fill out the fields of the input mask.
7. Click on the button Save.
